Starting a Remote Desktop Connection

(after starting your OpenVPN connection)

1. Start the Remote Desktop Connection.

2. Enter the name of the machine to connect to: ie. Server1 or 192.168.1.2

3. Goto options and fill in your information.
• Computer = server1
• Username = your-user-name ie. Sdseaman
• Password = your-password
• Domain = stilsonconsulting.local

4. Enter you desired screen size. Try 800x600 or higher. Whatever is one step smaller than your home screen size. It makes it easier to see the whole screen.

5. Set you connection speed.

6. That’s it. Open the application you need.

7. When finished, it’s important that you “Log off” instead of shutting down. You’ll shutdown the server if you do.

8. Don’t forget to Disconnect your OpenVPN connection.
